Our Story

Douglas Padden and Patrick Nee formed Boston Retirement Group in 2016.

Combined, we have over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry.  We have assembled a highly professional team with vast knowledge and competency.  The entire team works in unison to improve the client experience.  The Boston Retirement Group makes “planning with purpose” the focus of all client engagements.

History

Prior to forming Boston Retirement Group, Doug and Pat worked together in the corporate retirement plan space.  Doug and Pat oversaw employee education and investment advice for non-profit organizations and the private and public companies who engaged with their firm.  This experience helped shape the vision for Boston Retirement Group and guides us in our mission today.  The realization that Americans want customized advice delivered with a personal touch was influenced by the hundreds and hundreds of education meetings throughout the Northeast.

Our team works closely with highly skilled tax and legal professionals, as a complete financial plan must consider all factors.  We believe in coordinating these efforts and simplifying the process, as most of our clients would prefer time spent with family, friends and pursuing their passions.  We will not rest until your plan is on track and all the boxes are checked.  Once your plan is in place, you can continue to focus on pursuing your purpose.

Our team will continue to grow, but our mission will not change.  We are committed to advising and guiding the next generation, as our baby boomer clients look to share their deeply held values along with their hard earned wealth in the decades to come.

Straightforward Fees

You should know what you’re paying your advisor and how those fees apply to your investments. We’ll explain our fee structure so you have confidence you’re receiving the value you deserve.
